Private Family Foundations

As charitable organizations, private family foundations are successful catalysts for positive change. The majority are set up to exist in perpetuity. Their charitable activities most commonly consist of making grants to other charitable entities which are themselves engaged directly in charitable work. A major advantage of private family foundations is that the control over the foundation and its assets can be passed to future generations. This means that family values can be perpetuated and that the family legacy of charitable work can endure far beyond current lifetimes.
